Almost all the hats were finished today. We will do the show and tell for them tomorrow.
Those students who were ready moved on to learning to knit in the round on two circulars or a set of double pointed needles. It takes a little practice to keep track of all the needles, but once they felt like they got the hang of it, we started cabling. I gave them a diagram of the procedure and talked them through it. They went home with instructions to continue practicing in the round and cabling.
They will also begin a swatch for the mitten – our third project. Supplies and instructions in a separate post.
